Screen 2000 for Cinema and Video was first established in 1988 by the late Mr. Ibrahim Shawky Salem, its main goal was to produce films, television series, programs and television plays with the highest artistic value possible. The company solely produced more than 40 films between the years 1988 and 1993. It also produced more than 15 television programs within these years and has lately started producing television series, so far it produced 45.
During the crisis of the Egyptian cinema industry, the company started to produce television series. The company now produces at least two to three productions of television series per year with extremely high budgets and using the best shooting techniques and personnel to maintain its reputation within the region.
The company has also received several awards for its distinguished productions throughout the years.
